In March 2020 all theatres across the country were forced to close due to the pandemic, an occurrence that did not happen even during the blitzes of World War 2. On that fateful day, we could never have imagined that venues would remain closed for over a year. It has been a time of incredible challenges, but while the Concordia may have been closed, the spirit of the theatre community was well and truly alive. We witnessed the resilience, creativity and community-mindedness of our theatre, from taking part in the ‘LightltInRed’ campaign, digital and streamed; productions, sketches and birthday shoutouts, to innovative creations such as ‘The Big Panto Adventure’. The Pantomime Company are so happy to be bringing back the magic of pantomime to the Concordia in 2022 and would like to thank you for your continued support of the theatre and theatre community.
